Return from my Sabbatical
Well here I am world. I'm back from blogcation. The last time I posted was when my daughter was two days old. Now she is 10 weeks old. A lot can happen in two and a half months.
Quick recap:
1) My kid got older (she can smile when smiled at and can hold her head up now).
2) My wife got thinner.
3) I got fatter (stress).
4) We moved into our new house.
5) Mother Allison went back to work (weekend nights) leaving me alone with the baby for the first time.
6) Number 5 was a disaster.
7) My older sister has actually started to seriously date someone (she's 27 and this is her first BF).
8) My grandmother has been battling cancer.
9) My dog that I've had since I was nine passed away.
10) On April 3rd my wife walked in our room after I just woke up with a pregnancy test and said she was pregnant. Then she said "April fool's!" .......It was APRIL 3rd!
I think I'm going to start posting semi-regularly now (at least post pictures with a little text). Considering that no more than three people will ever read my blog I guess I'll mainly just be posting for my own benefit. You know, for me to look back at my online journal with pictures, etc.
Oh yeah, I used to post trivia. One animal besides humans can contract leprosy. Name the animal.
Last entry's answer is garbage (Mr. Fusion).

You Are My Density
So.......I used to post once a week, but it seems the last time I blogged was a month and a half ago....yikes. Maybe this post will be the start of a trend of new posts. Maybe. Honestly, at this point I think this blog is nothing more than a journal for me to go back and read for my own pleasure at some point in the future (since nobody else reads it because of my negligent posting).
Well my life has been incredibly hectic lately. Update on the baby situation: Mother Allison is at home on "modified bed rest" since her job was too strenuous for a 8.5 month pregnant girl to withstand (shes a nurse who works(ed) 12 hour shifts). We went to the doctor last week and found out that she is dilated and effaced a good bit (I actually know what those words mean since I'm a soon to be daddy). This means that the baby could come at any moment now but in case it doesnt we are penciled in to have it induced on Feb. 4th. Needless to say, I'm freaking out.
Update on the house situation: Everything is done except for sod, electric meter, and final cleanup/walkthrough. So now its become a race of sorts to close the loan and move into the new house before the baby's born. I'm excited to see who will win.
Has anybody seen Cloverfield? Mother Allison and I went this past weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Utility Al to see it. I was really let down by it and I think everybody in the theater but me got motion sickness from watching it. Anyway, I wouldn't recommend it.

Matty's Picture
Well Utility Al asked why Matt didnt post this picture so I figured I would just go ahead and do it. Sorry Matt, my Id overtook my Ego so I had to post it, I will gladly take it down at your request. Apparently Matt's Future Wife missed him so much that a clothed picture just wouldnt do. As you can see, she had to improvise. I guess she also has a thing for curly mustaches and missing teeth.
On to my boring life..... The wife and I just went to go look at our house and everything is coming along nicely. It is no longer supported by flimsy sticks and they have just done all of the trim work and cabinets. It actually looks like a house on the inside now. We just spent a buttload of money on furniture. Instead of buying one thing at a time to make sure we have enough money, we bought a house worth of furniture at one time. I did get a nice la-z-boy recliner. I'm pretty excited. Hmm...what else can I talk about... Mother Allison is in the kitchen making steak fajitas for supper. They smell good. I think shes also going to make peanut butter cookies with mini snicker bars inside.......mmmmmmmm.
Utility Al, sorry I never answered your trivia about f-100 pickup trucks. I would guess that they quit making them in 1984 and they started making them in.....19.....60?

Pregnant Women's Belly Buttons Freak Me Out
I hate Thursdays. After the end of a hard day on a Thursday you know that stupid Friday is standing between you and the weekend. Who am I kidding, I hate all days except for Saturdays and Sundays. As a matter of fact, I dont even like Sundays because I spend all day Sunday dreading going to work on Monday. Thank goodness for Saturdays. I'm ready to retire.
Mother Allison and I are starting to buy a lot of furniture to fill up our new house. We spent the past year or so saving money and now we're fixing to blow it all on a house and a baby. Speaking of the baby, Mother Allison just hit 30 weeks and her belly button has gotten to the point where it looks like it going to be pushed outward at any moment (gross). She knows somebody whose belly button got so big when they were pregnant that it ruptured. I hope hers doesn't do that, I would pass out.

Sometimes You Have To Do Things You Don't Want to Do
Mother Allison and I just got back from a small town in Mississippi (that shares its name with where Matt lives) where we had an early thanksgiving with her family. I think her five year old cousin has a crush on me, she wouldnt leave me alone. It was endearing at first but it became annoying with about the 200th dog bark (spit included) impression in my face. I guess its too late to decide that I dont want kids. But her family was really nice and gave us a surprise baby shower. We got a lot of diapers for presents. Here is a conversation that Allison had with her little cousin: "Is Robert going to change its diaper?" "Of course" "Even the poopy ones?" "Sure" "My daddy had to change my poopy diapers and he didnt want to. Alley, sometimes you have to do things you dont want to do." So profound and so true.
On another note, Videogames. Utility Al and Matt know of my nerdy obsession but I have steered clear of posting about it in fear of being excommunicated from the blogging community...until now. Super Mario Galaxy, its awesome. Its like Super Mario Bros. 3 in three dimensions *pushes glasses up nose*. If you feel inclined to see what its like click here. You all need to ask for a Wii for Christmas and get this game. Ok, thats all I'm going to say about that.
Utility Al, glad to hear that you're back, hope the mountains were nice. You, me, Mother Allison, and Utility Katie need to go on a double date sometime. We could do it one weekend while Matt's in town so he could go (but only if he brings his Future Wife).
